The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the AFCAT 01/2025 recruitment to fill 336 vacancies for various branches. This recruitment is for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / SSC in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Applications are also open for NCC Special Entry Scheme (Flying Branch) and Meteorology Branch. Below are the details:

Total Posts: 336

Branch-Wise Distribution:

  • Flying Branch: 30 posts
  • Ground Duty (Technical): 189 posts
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): 117 posts

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026):

  • Flying Branch:

    • Age: 20 to 24 years
    • Date of Birth Range: Born between 02.01.2002 and 01.01.2006 (inclusive).

  • Ground Duty (Technical / Non-Technical):

    • Age: 20 to 26 years
    • Date of Birth Range: Born between 02.01.2000 and 01.01.2006 (inclusive).

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Technical branches may have additional requirements.

Application Fee

  • All Categories: ₹649/-
  • Payment Method: Online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) (AFCAT Exam).
  2. Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview.
  3. Medical Examination.
  4. Document Verification.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,10,700/-.
